A qualified and experienced lifeguard. Mitchell’s exploits have also earned him membership of the informal, but esteemed 30/20 Club, of elite watermen who have paddled 30 miles or more through open ocean, and ridden 20 foot waves by the traditional paddle-in method.
To nobodies surprise Jamie began stand up paddling a few years ago and quickly rose to the top of the SUP racing scene by winning the 2009 Rainbow Sandals Battle of the Paddle. Since then Jamie is a force to be reckoned with in any race he enters. In addition to racing, Jamie has teamed up with Surftech founder and primary shaper, Randy French to design a high-performance stand up paddleboard designed to tackle just about any wave that the ocean throws at him. Jamie has traveled to remote locations all over the globe including Bali, the Solomon Islands and the Maldives testing his boards and giving Randy feedback.
